Great book about growing up.

Cavanna is certainly a very detailed and careful writer. The way she handled the complex relationship of a girl and a boy who lived next door to her is certainly commendable.
I like the twists in the story which really took me by surprise.
Siblings, Love, Growing Up, Jealously, Rivalry, Popularity contests, accepting changes. A very vibrant storyline.

The Boy Next Door by Betty Cavanna

The Boy Next Door is a well written book. It is very believable and fun to read. The characters are easy to identify with and totally realistic. It is a teen age book but still fun to read as an adult. The teen girl matures some and learns some things about herself and boys. All in all a good book. I highly recommend it.

Loved her books as a teenager

I loved her novels as a teenager in the late '60's. When I saw them suggested I ordered the titles I remembered. Loved them then as I love them now. Very sweet stories.
