About the Author
Myrlene Hamilton Hess is pastor of Morning Star Presbyterian Church in Bayville, New Jersey, which she cofounded with her late husband, Rev. Dr. Edward S. Hamilton. She holds an MDiv and DMin from Fuller Theological Seminary, and is author of three Judson Press resources: Being the Body of Christ: A Handbook for Mobilizing Your Congregation (1994), Turning Points: Moments of Grace, Steps Toward Wholeness (1997), and All I Need to Know about Ministry I Learned from Fly Fishing (2001).
Rev. Hamilton Hess married Eric W. Hess in 2006, and they make their home together with their Labrador Retriever, Amazing Grace, in Bayville, New Jersey.

Great book for those dealing with grief

After reading this book, I decided to use it as the core of a bible study for people experiencing a loss. The attendees of the class are finding it very helpful. It is easy to read. The questions and ideas at the end of each chapter are thought provoking - encouraging people to move through the grief process at their own pace. I would highly recommend this book to others who wish to do a small group study.

Must read for grieving spouses

I not only read this book once, but twice. It encourages you to journal your way thru the book. It is written by a female minister who humanizes the book by revealing her own story of the loss of her husband. Soul searching and encouraging. I have even bought this book for other recent widows.
